Our Wedding

After I moved to Alabama from Texas, everything started to fall into place in a way I never expected. As I was moving into a new apartment, Blake noticed me and later told me his first thought was, “Who is that girl?” For our first date, Blake suggested Rojo - a bold choice, considering I’m from Texas and very opinionated about my Mexican food. Somewhere between a full pitcher of margarita, and a five hour date, something just clicked. From that night on, we were inseparable. We went everywhere together - beach trips, concerts, trips back to Texas, and just doing everyday life side by side. We quickly realized we shared the same love for music, especially Steely Dan, and even more importantly, we became best friends. We also found a shared love for cooking- usually with music playing and a glass of wine in hand. We’ve both lost our dads, and over time, we’ve come to believe that somehow, they had a hand in bringing us together- which makes everything feel even more meaningful. Not long after we started dating, we took a trip to San Miguel, and that’s where we truly fell in love. It became a place that means so much to us, and we’ve gone back every year since. On our most recent trip, in a park in the city that holds so much of our story, Blake asked me to marry him - it was the easiest yes ever. Now, we’re so excited to be getting married in the very place where it all came together- and to celebrate with all of our favorite people.

Madeleine is not only my cousin - she’s my best friend. We were so lucky to grow up side by side in San Antonio, walking through every stage of life together - from diapers to now, through every high and low (and plenty of shenanigans along the way). She has always been my rock, inspiration, and go-to person. I truly can’t imagine this chapter without her, and I feel so lucky to have her as my Maid of Honor.

Madeleine Espy

Claudia is my younger cousin and Madeleine’s sister, and just like Madeleine and I, we grew up together through every stage of life. Watching her become the incredible woman she is today has been so special. She is caring, loves deeply, and I’ll always cherish our late nights growing up - crammed into her twin bed, laughing and scrolling until 4AM with my late night bestie.  I am so lucky to have her as a bridesmaid.

Claudia Espy

Jordan and I met freshman year at Texas Tech in a dorm hallway and instantly clicked. We spent every day together, living off McDonald’s and anything we could charge to our student cards. Even after she left Tech to be closer to home, we stayed just as close - whether it’s four-hour FaceTime calls or flying to see each other, our friendship has always been easy and natural. Jordan is so caring and never fails to make me smile, even on hard days. I am so lucky to have her standing by my side.

Ann-Marie and I met shortly after I moved to Birmingham and we instantly clicked. She was such a foundation for my life after moving to Birmingham from Texas, making Alabama feel like home. From champagne and pool days at The Pizitz to being my confidant, Ann-Marie is the type of friend you can call for anything and know she will be there wholeheartedly. She is loyal, loving, and truly one of a kind. People like Ann-Marie are hard to come by and I am so lucky and happy to have her on my side.

Hollyann leased my very first apartment in Birmingham, but she quickly became so much more than that. She was my very first friend in Alabama - introducing me to her friends and opening my circle in a brand new place. She is the type of person you can call for anything, from advice to just a listening ear - our friendship is always genuine and true.
Hollyann truly made Alabama feel like home. Watching her become a mom and raise her two beautiful babies has been so special.
I am so thankful our paths crossed.

Maddy is my brother’s girlfriend, and from the moment we met two years ago, we instantly clicked. She has been such a wonderful addition to our family, and I feel so grateful that Spencer brought her into our lives.
We share a love for cooking, crafting, and cats, which has made our bond even more special. Maddy brings a calm, steady presence wherever she goes- she is kind, loving, and so much fun to be around.
I feel incredibly lucky to have her in my life and am so happy to have her as a bridesmaid

I met Ally five years ago when she was sitting on our apartment rooftop reading a book. Ann-Marie and I were up there drinking mimosas, and I offered her one- and that was pretty much it. From that moment on, we were never strangers.
We quickly started doing everything together- cooking meals, going to the gym, antiquing, decorating our apartments, and even spending days working remotely in our of our apartments.
Ally is the kind of person you can go to for anything. She is truly one of a kind, and I feel so lucky to have her by my side

Allison and I met through mutual friends and quickly bonded over our shared sense of humor and nights out with friends. She’s the kind of person you can call at any time and know she’ll be there without hesitation. Allison is incredibly loyal and always stands up for the people she love - she has truly had my back since the day we met. One of our favorite things to do is (and trying our best at) is making cocktails and soaking up pool days together. She is loyal, loving, and I feel so lucky to have her by my side.

Stephanie and I met through mutual friends, and I still remember the day I met her - I just knew she was going to be my friend. She makes me laugh like no one else can. Stephanie is the kind of person you can call at any moment, and she’ll drop everything to be there for you. She is incredibly loyal, hardworking, and truly an inspiration to me. I feel so lucky that Birmingham brought me to her. She’s the friend you call when you need a laugh or want to spontaneously grab a drink and talk about life. People like Stephanie are hard to come by, and I am so thankful for her.

Cailyn and I met 5 years ago when I moved to Birmingham, and we instantly clicked. From the very beginning, our friendship felt easy and genuine. She is someone you can always count on no matter what, and one of the most steady, loyal friends I have. I have always admired Cailyn for her strong faith, beautiful heart, and the way she makes everyone around her feel loved and comfortable. I am so thankful Birmingham brought her into my life and so lucky to have her by my side.

Ally and I met through Blake — she is married to one of his best friends — and we instantly clicked. What started as all of us hanging out together quickly turned into such a genuine friendship of our own. Some of my favorite memories with Ally are sitting on the patio at Luca for hours over drinks and dinner while the boys are off golfing somewhere. Whether we are making spontaneous weekend plans, going out as a group, or just catching up over wine, Ally is always someone who makes every moment more fun. She is outgoing, hilarious, and the kind of friend who makes everyone around her feel comfortable. I am so thankful our paths crossed and so lucky to have her by my side.

Ali and I met as neighbors at the The Pizitz - I invited her to one of our girls nights, and that was the beginning of such an easy and genuine friendship. From rooftop hangs and spontaneous plans to long talks and laughing until we cry, Ali has always been someone who brings so much fun and light wherever she goes. She is outgoing, thoughtful, and never fails to put a smile on my face. Even though she moved to California, she has remained one of those friendships that stays constant no matter the distance or time apart. I am so lucky life brought us together and so thankful to have her by my side.

ummer and I met in 2022 through mutual friends, and even though she only lived in Birmingham for a year, she made such a lasting impact on my life. She is truly one of the most thoughtful, caring, and sweet people I’ve ever met. Summer somehow never forgets the little things- your birthday, your favorite drink, your go-to snack - and always makes the people around her feel so loved and seen.
One of my favorite memories was when I casually mentioned that coconut mojitos were my favorite drink. On my birthday, she showed up at my house with all the ingredients to make them, a cocktail shaker, and the sweetest handwritten card. That’s just who Summer is - thoughtful in the most genuine and intentional way. I feel so lucky to have a friend like her standing by my side.

It’s the perfect spot to relax, recharge, and enjoy a peaceful afternoon surrounded by beautiful natural scenery.

A beautifully restored factory turned art and design center, filled with galleries, boutiques, and studios. A great spot to explore local art, shop, and spend a relaxed afternoon.

A San Miguel favorite, La Gruta is known for its relaxing it's thermal hot springs and iconic stone tunnel that leads into a warm, steamy pool. Surrounded by lush greenery, it’s the perfect place to spend a peaceful day soaking, drinking, unwinding, and enjoying the natural beauty just outside the city.

A trip to&nbsp;Chocolates y Churros San Agustín&nbsp;is a must while in San Miguel de Allende. Located in the heart of the city, this iconic churro shop is known for its incredible house-made churros, rich Mexican hot chocolate, and cozy atmosphere. Guests can even watch the churros being freshly made by hand in the open kitchen- served warm, perfectly crisp, and absolutely unforgettable. Whether you stop in for a late-night treat or an afternoon coffee break, it’s one of our favorite little spots in San Miguel and a sweet experience we highly recommend!&nbsp;

One of our favorite dinner spots in San Miguel! We highly recommend the ribeye aguachile - it’s incredible and one of the standout dishes we always talk about after visiting. Between the amazing food, cocktails, lively atmosphere, and beautiful views overlooking the city, it’s such a fun spot for dinner and drinks with friends and family.
